Franklin Honored by Bach Society

We are pleased to offer hearty congratulations to Don O. Franklin, Professor of Music Emeritus. Professor Franklin has been named an Honorary Member of the American Bach Society. The citation announcing the award recognized Franklin “for his many years of Extraordinary Service and for his distinguished contributions to the Society’s aims of preserving and propagating the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.”  In addition to serving as a member of the Advisory and Editorial Boards, he held the offices of Vice-president and President. During his tenure as President, from 1992-1996, the Society initiated Bach Perspectives, a serial publication, along with an endowed research fellowship and book award. Congratulations, Professor Franklin!
