Men's Glee Club

Pitt's campus is already getting quiet as students head out of town for spring break, but that doesn't mean we don't have great concerts to offer. The Men's Glee Club will tour Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois throughout the week, so don't miss this opportunity to hear them if they're coming to your area. Here's the complete itinerary:

The Pitt Men’s Glee Club will join the Bach Choir and Oakland Girls Choir for a pair of concerts this February.  Titled Con·sol·i·da·tion, the concerts will take place in Alumni Hall at the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 8 p.m. and Sunday February 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. The pieces selected for this concert embrace a variety of styles spanning three centuries of music.

Update: Thanks to all who auditioned! Best wishes for a great year full of great music making!

The Pitt Men's Glee Club will perform the National Anthem at PNC Park on Thursday, August 27th when the Pirates take on the Phillies. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Come out and support the Glee Club and the Buccos (who, despite their sorry position in the standings, are playing some decent ball of late).

Last year the Men's Glee Club commissioned a composition by David N. Childs titled The Silent Land and gave the premiere during their spring concert. The Club's director, Richard Teaster, received word this week that The Silent Land will be published by Santa Barbara Music Publishing.

Duquesne University’s Pappert Men’s Chorale will also join the Glee Club as guest artists. Along with the Rehinberger Mass, the program will feature a variety of holiday music, including carols from Austria, Italy, and France and American holiday classics. Listen to the Men's Glee Club sing Cantate Domino, a track from their most recent CD.
