January 30, 2017 - 8:00pm

The next Music Monday features music for strings. Natalya Bondarchuk (cello) and Matthew Slesinski (violin) perform solo music by J.S. Bach, Slesinski and faculty member Roger Zahab perform, music for two violins by Judith Weir, and violist Brandon Falcona, joins the performers for Beethoven's String Quartet in a minor, opus 132.

Roger Zahab presents a program built around Bach's Partita in b minor for solo violin and music by American composers which reflect a diverse array of concerns and points of view. Along with the Bach, Zahab performs music by Ursula Mamlok, David Mahler, Christian Wolff, Linda Kornohan, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, and his own compositions.

November 28, 2016 - 8:00pm

Our next Music Monday features a brand new work for tabla and string quartet by Nicholas Grieneisen, a new song cycle for tenor and piano trio by Thomas Scheurich, music for winds and strings by Haydn, Scarlatti, and Telemann, and a wind quintet by Samuel Barber. All works will be performed by our talented students and faculty.

The next Thursday Noon Recital features our students and faculty performing music by Roger Zahab, Haydn, and Saint-Saëns.

April 11, 2016 - 7:00pm

Pianist Ben Clifton’s senior recital will feature music by Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Chick Corea along with many other jazz greats. Joining him will be Anton Defade (bass) and James Johnson, III (drums). Many of the selections on this recital will be included on Clifton’s soon to be released debut album Reflection, due out this May.

March 21, 2016 - 8:00pm

Hear works by Vivaldi, Brahms, and Riley including a special performance by the Zaffiro Trio.

January 11, 2016 - 8:00pm

Our first concert of the new year will feature music by Richard Rodney Bennett, Roger Zahab, and Ludwig Van Beethoven. Performing on the program are Roger Zahab (violin and viola), Thomas Scheurich (viola), Jennifer Sternick (violin), and a faculty trio of pianist Tina Faigen, clarinetist Mary Beth Malek, and cellist Paula Tuttle.

December 3, 2015 - 12:00pm

The next Thursday Noon Recital features music by Correlli, Gibbons, Monk, Young, and Zahab performed by our outstanding undergraduates and faculty members.

December 2, 2015 - 6:00pm

The Hois Class Chamber Music Recital will feature students playing in a variety of trio combinations of flutes, violin, and piano. A woodwind quintet will perform compositions by Gary Schocker, Handel, Doppler, and Danzi. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
