Two New Rosenblum Works Set for Premiere

Department of Music Chair Mathew Rosenblum is entering a busy season that will include two premieres and a residency. Rosenblum will be a Featured Guest Composer at the Festival of Contemporary American Music in Sacramento where his piece Throat will be premiered by Jean Kopperud and Tom Kolor on November 12. His Double Concerto for baritone saxophone, percussion and orchestra will be premiered by Kenneth Coon and Lisa Pegher with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, under the direction of Gil Rose, at Boston’s Jordan Hall on January 22. And finally, this coming February 13-14, Rosenblum will be Composer-in-Residence at Dickinson College, Carlisle, where Maggies and Under The Rainbow will be performed.
