The first official Music at Pitt event of 2017 takes place on January 28, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t music happening here. Both undergrads and grad students have concerts coming up this week and we hope you can come see them.

Music major Hezreel Robertson and his band T-1ne will release their new album The Journey this Thursday, January 12 at the Rex Theater. The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $8-10. (Doors at 7).

C:ompiler is a contemporary music series hosted by graduate composers Ryan McMasters, Brian Riordan, and Lu-Han Li. On Friday, January 13, C:ompiler features experimental music ensemble wolftrap performing the music of Apple, Chatham, Li, McMasters, Park, and Riordan. The concert takes place at Frick Fine Arts Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets are $7/5 at the door.
