An Evening of Balinese Shadow Puppet Theater: Tales from the Ramayana features a pre-performance lecture by Dr. Meghan Hynson, puppetry by Ida Bagus Anom Suryawan assisted by Ida Ayu Kumalayoni, and Gender Wayang Music performed by Meghan Hynson, Yang Shuo, Wangcaixuan Zhang, and Annie Valdes.

Elizabeth Brown Lectures on "Shakuhachi: The Corporeal and the Spiritual"
Composer Elizabeth Brown, who has played shakuhachi for more than 30 years, will talk about its deep influence on her music. She will perform her recent solo Dialect as well as a piece from the traditional solo repertoire, which sounds radical even today.
